What we do:

Zefr is the global leader in brand suitability targeting and measurement across the world's largest platforms. Zefr’s technology is helping to power the age of responsible marketing by putting advertisers in control of their content adjacencies based on their own unique brand safety and suitability preferences, mapped to the Global Alliance of Responsible Media's (GARM) industry standards. As an official YouTube Measurement Program Partner, Meta for Business Partner, and TikTok for Business Partner, the company leverages patented machine learning and AI technology (Cognition AI) to offer brands and agencies more precise and transparent brand safety and suitability activation and measurement solutions on scaled platforms. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with additional locations across the globe.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and engineer large-scale software applications and cloud-based systems that acquire, process, store, and illuminate terabytes of YouTube, Facebook and other social media video data.

  • Code software to analyze this data in order to manage and monetize the intellectual property contained in online videos.

  • Rapidly scale the software infrastructure for ZEFR’s VideoID technology for enterprise media companies and content owners.

  • Develop and maintain distributed systems, cloud infrastructures and applications, microservices architecture, and web APIs for ZEFR’s software applications.

  • Develop scalable software solutions to amass the information needed for planning, analysis, and decision-making.

  • Build software applications on Kubernetes and Kafka data processors using core technologies (Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS, GCP).

  • Build, operate, and maintain production machine learning infrastructure for software applications.

  • Design and validate test cases for safe code fixes, participating in the design, development, and maintenance of metrics and reports needed to drive key business metrics.

  • Utilize data processing platforms to implement changes to applications and systems implementations, including design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of solutions.

What we’re looking for:

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus:

  • Two (2) years of Software Development, Programming Analysis, or related experience designing, developing, and modifying application software; building and deploying web applications; designing data migration and writing SQL scripts; developing data warehouses and utilizing data for reporting, data analysis, and BI; gathering and analyzing user requirements; performance tuning of slow running SQL queries, views, and stored procedure; creating applications to identify errors and missing data elements; creating dashboards for report submissions; and utilizing ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, Ajax, Visual Studio, Entity Framework, JavaScript, JQuery, MVC/MVP Pattern, Enterprise Library, SQL Servers, T-SQL, and SSIS/SSRS.
