At Amperos Health, we’re building AI coworkers to tackle the biggest administrative problems in US healthcare. Our first AI coworker automates calling insurance to find out why a claim was denied and how to fix it.

Our vision is that providers have a suite of AI co-workers that supercharge their workforce by dealing with all the workflows related to insurance, meaning they can spend less time on administrative tasks and more on what healthcare is meant to be about: patient care.

We’re searching for Software Engineers to join our team on this journey of applying generative AI to solve some of the toughest problems in healthcare. The ideal team member is looking for a blend of early-stage autonomy & growth-stage scrappiness.

Cool projects you might work on

• Build out full stack user flows and features to help automate administrative workflows
• Improve our voice AI infrastructure. Work on improving our call success rate, figure out ways to decrease latency, and scale the number of calls we can have concurrently.
• Prototype and productize LLM models in voice AI agents, autonomous browser agents and new generative AI features
• Experiment with LLM prompts, new agentic reasoning paradigms, and develop testing suites to evaluate AI agent performance
• Automate internal operations like supporting new insurances, uploading claims data, and mapping customer practice names
• Build and maintain integrations with healthcare EMR software using APIs, RPA, or agentic flows
  
  

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of full stack software engineering experience (YOE can flex if there’s a great fit)
• Proficiency in Typescript and Python
• Excited to build in an industry that is underserved by technology and immerse themselves in the world of healthcare billing and revenue cycle management
• Desire to learn and grow as an engineer at the highest velocity (we’ll help you achieve this!)
• Experience developing high-quality, reliable software that is scalable and making trade offs between resiliency and speed
• Thrives when wearing multiple hats and doing whatever needs to be done to succeed as a team
• Product-minded engineer that can ship solutions to customer problems end to end rather than just following specs
• In person 4-5 days /weeks in NYC office (strongly preferred, but can flex if there’s a great fit)
• Bonus: familiarity with technologies like Next.js, Tailwind, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB
• Bonus: Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, and building generative AI products
