Founding Engineer
What to know up front
- We don't do Leetcode or other live-coding interview exercises. If you apply, we expect that you can write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- We don't work ridiculous hours, and we don't believe in hustle culture. We work hard, but the impact you have is more important than how many hours you put in.
- We don't have long, drawn-out performance management cycles. If you're doing well, the impact of your work will already be apparent to everyone.
- We're fully remote, with no looming return-to-office threats. You're an adult, and you should be treated like one.
About us
Ardent AI is a well-funded, early-stage startup building the first programmable intelligence platform. We help users create, deploy, and share AI agents with powerful custom skills, blending the creativity of generative AI with the determinism of software. We aren't trying to put software engineers out of work — instead, we envision a future where AI makes it possible for everyone to build software that makes them more efficient, productive, and happier!
Founded by an ex-Stripe engineer and supported by top VCs and angel investors from companies like Google, Stripe, Figma, Notion, and Replit, we want to grow our small, cross-functional founding team. We're looking for highly motivated and talented engineers with experience working on a fully remote team, a strong interest in artificial intelligence, and alignment with our principles and way of working.
As with all founding roles, the job will grow and evolve as we scale. If this sounds like a good fit, please read on!
