Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned program manager to join the Engineering team at DNAnexus to manage large, complex, cross-functional, global programs. This role requires a solid background in software development methodology; someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who comes up with creative approaches to address challenges, and who has exceptional communication skills. Responsibilities

• Work closely with Software Engineering Leads and Product Managers to define program schedule and milestones
• Drive the engineering program execution and track progress to ensure an on time, high quality delivery
• Identify and manage dependencies, and track action items, and mitigate risks.
• Facilitate steering committee where program health and risks are discussed with senior management.
• Improve SDLC process and chaperone process roll out and change management.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Technology Management or similar.
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering & technical program management experience
• PMP certification
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Google suite a must
• Ability to balance tight deadlines with satisfying customers
• Attention to details a must
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and help remove roadblocks
• Experience leading a team from concept to deployment
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
