The DubClub online ecosystem enables sports content creators and sports data providers (collectively termed “cappers”) to make more money with DubClub than anywhere else, while providing a superior experience of information delivery and advantageous interaction for subscribers of cappers.

  • For cappers: DubClub provides a member buyer network along with a suite of tools, which cappers collectively use to grow their business and reliably deliver their content to their DubClub subscribers.

  • For subscribers: DubClub offers the fastest content delivery (via push, Telegram, email, Discord) along with communities integrations and “capper discovery” to power a great user experience.

DubClub was founded by a team of Stanford football and baseball alumni who launched the company’s first product in October 2021. Since then, DubClub has scaled rapidly to hundreds of thousands of users (DubClub "members"), with millions in revenue generated by cappers through the platform. DubClub is backed with Series A funding from a leading Silicon Valley tech VC firm and a leading sports-focused tech VC firm out of New York.

The role

You will be a founding member of the Sales team working to bring new partners (”Cappers”) to the platform. As an early team member, you will be responsible for accelerating DubClub’s revenue by driving and executing the strategy behind our sales motion. You will own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close, so you must have an operations mindset and a hunger for closing deals — whatever it takes.

The problems you will solve

  • Own the entire process of winning new business for DubClub. You will be responsible for ensuring that DubClub maintains a vibrant funnel of leads, prospects, opportunities, and "ramping" (28 days after first sale) accounts. You will excel at finding and attracting new partners to the DubClub platform and have a high bar for doing it in a quality way.

  • Establish metrics and growth strategies. Establish key sales metrics and benchmarks that align with organizational goals. Drive business growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies that optimize performance and ultimately maximize revenue results.

  • Deeply understand partner needs and requirements. Communicate DubClub’s product offerings so partners can understand how their business will grow with DubClub.

  • Develop sales infrastructure. Create and establish foundational sales playbooks and scripts that standardize and elevate our sales efforts, ensuring consistency and scalability in our processes.

  • Collaborate to close deals. Partner with the GTM and Product teams to communicate potential customer needs; bring in partner specialists to a sales deal as needed; set partners up for success.

  • Advocate for product roadmap on behalf of customers. Be an evidence-driven partner advocate based on intel from the industry. Influence product roadmap towards solving pain that will help win more new business, create marketplace stickiness, and lead the DubClub ecosystem into new frontiers solving problems for our partners.

What makes a great candidate

  • You are a ‘strategic-doer.’ You have at least 4 years sales or business development experience on a high-performing team, ideally in a digital marketplace or similar fast-paced sector. You are adept at managing the full spectrum of sales activities and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

  • You care deeply about operational excellence. Your strength lies not only in sales but also in making data-driven decisions to implement metrics, systems, and processes that enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Decisive and agile. We move fast. We offer support and collaboration but also provide decision-making autonomy. You can make impactful business decisions with little direction.

  • Industry knowledge. A passion for sports and an understanding of the two-sided marketplace dynamics in the creator economy are crucial. Your industry insight will be key in navigating market trends and positioning DubClub as a leader.

  • Partner-centric. You are deeply committed to understanding and advancing the goals of our partners. Your dedication to enhancing partner relationships is matched by your ability to drive significant business growth through these partnerships.

  • You are low ego. No task is too small to find success and generate revenue.

Location & Compensation

  • This role is based at the DubClub HQ in Chicago, IL (The Loop).

  • The OTE range for the this role is: $140-165k + stock options + benefits, etc. Please note that this range can be flexible for the right candidate.
