Front is seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Design to lead our global Product Design organization and shape the future of the Front experience. This is a key leadership role on our Product leadership team, reporting to our Chief Engineering, Product and Design Officer. You will be responsible for setting the design vision, strategy, and standards for our entire product portfolio, ensuring we deliver a cohesive, intuitive, and world-class experience for our customers.

As the leader of our design function, you will be empowered to grow and mentor a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of product designers. You will be a critical partner to executive leadership in Product Management and Engineering, ensuring that design is a core driver of our company strategy and a key differentiator in the market. If you are passionate about building exceptional products, scaling high-performing teams, and solving complex user problems, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

  • Define the Vision: Own and articulate the overarching design vision and strategy for Front, ensuring it aligns with our company goals and drives the future of our product.

  • Lead & Develop a Global Team of 20+ Product Designers in SF, Paris and Santiago: Lead, mentor, and grow our global team of product designers and managers. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture that empowers designers to do their best work. Develop career paths and growth opportunities for your team members.

  • Drive Craft & Quality: Champion and elevate the craft of design across the organization. You will be the standard-bearer for quality, establishing processes and systems that ensure we ship polished, thoughtful, and impactful work.

  • Be a Strategic Partner: Act as a key member of the product leadership team, collaborating closely with peers in Product Management, Engineering, and Go-to-Market to shape our product roadmap and business strategy.

  • Champion the User: Be the ultimate advocate for our users in all product decisions. Drive a culture of deep user empathy and leverage research and data to inform our design direction.

  • Scale Design Operations: Implement and refine design processes, operations (DesignOps), and systems to create efficiency and excellence as we scale, ensuring seamless collaboration across our global teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with a significant portion of that time spent working on complex B2B or SaaS products.

  • 5+ years of design leadership experience, with a proven track record of building, managing, and developing high-performing, multi-level, global design teams (including managing managers).

  • A compelling portfolio or a demonstrated track record that showcases your ability to lead design for complex, large-scale products and your impact as a strategic leader.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect design decisions directly to business goals, user value, and long-term vision.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; capable of clearly articulating vision and rationale to executive leadership, your team, and the entire company.

  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for solving complex problems with elegant, human-centered solutions.

  • A collaborative spirit, a low ego, and an eagerness to work in a transparent environment where feedback is shared openly and constructively.

This is a hybrid role, expected to be in our SF office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
