Mission
We are seeking a strategic Head of Investor Relations & Treasury to lead our external stakeholder communications and treasury operations as we scale toward public market readiness. This role will serve as the primary interface with investors, analysts, and financial partners while optimizing our capital structure and cash management. The successful candidate will combine deep financial expertise with exceptional communication skills to support our growth trajectory and capital market initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Treasury & Capital Management
Oversee global treasury operations including cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships. Lead capital structure strategy,
liquidity planning, and cash forecasting.
Develop and implement capital structure optimization strategies to support growth and operational needs. Manage foreign exchange hedging
programs and international cash flow optimization.
Drive capital raising initiatives including debt, equity, and venture financing, ensuring optimal terms for growth and stability. Work closely with
investment banks and external counsel.
Establish treasury policies, controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Financial Communications & Market Intelligence
Craft and deliver external financial communications ensuring consistent messaging across all stakeholder touchpoints. Coordinate earnings
communications and financial disclosures as company approaches public readiness.
Monitor market conditions, competitive landscape, and investor sentiment to inform strategic decisions.
Build relationships with research analysts, financial media, and industry thought leaders.
- Public Market Preparation
Drive IPO readiness initiatives including S-1 preparation, roadshow planning, and regulatory compliance.
Establish investor relations infrastructure and processes for public company operations.
Develop relationships with potential IPO underwriters and institutional investors.
Create frameworks for ongoing public company financial communications and reporting.

- Treasury operations deliver robust liquidity management, accurate cash forecasting, and effective risk mitigation (e.g., FX, interest rate exposure).
- The company secures favorable terms on capital raises and credit facilities, supporting innovation and scaling.
- Financial and strategic narratives are crisp, compelling, and aligned with corporate strategy—enabling Groq to stand out in a competitive capital markets environment.
Ideal Candidates Have:
- 10+ years of progressive experience across investor relations, treasury, and financial planning, ideally within high-growth technology companies.
- Proven track record leading large-scale capital raises (equity, debt, convertible instruments) and managing credit facilities.
- Deep expertise in treasury risk management, FX hedging, and liquidity planning.
- Strong experience developing investor-facing communications, disclosures, and financial narratives.
- Ability to partner with executives and boards on capital strategy, investor engagement, and strategic growth initiatives (including M&A).
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and storytelling skills.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Background in both corporate finance and capital markets advisory (investment banking, IR, treasury management) is a plus.

Compensation:
At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $286,722 to $337,320, determined by your location, skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks. This range is specific to roles in the United States, compensation for candidates outside the USA will be dependent on the local market.
