Intern Program Manager
Mission:
We’re looking for someone to own and scale Groq’s internship Talent Programs. This isn’t just about scheduling interviews — it’s about building a pipeline of future engineers, builders, and innovators. You’ll run our intern program across the org and launch new early talent initiatives that help us connect with candidates where they are — online, at hackathons, and in nontraditional spaces.
Most of our interns are in AI/ML and engineering, so having some knowledge of that world will help you partner with technical leaders and understand the talent pool. You don’t need to code, but you should be able to speak the language and connect with technical teams.
This role is equal parts program manager and creative recruiter — someone who can keep operations running smoothly while also thinking differently about how to reach and engage the next generation of talent.
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
  • Own the program: Manage the intern program end-to-end — recruiting, onboarding, programming, offboarding, and conversion.
  • Expand reach: Build out other early education and talent programs (externships, hackathon partnerships, bootcamp relationships).
  • Creative sourcing: Use social platforms like X, LinkedIn, and Discord to engage talent, share opportunities, and showcase what life at Groq is like.
  • Community engagement: Represent Groq at hackathons, events, and meetups to connect with future interns.
  • Keep it smooth: Manage logistics like scheduling, payroll coordination, onboarding/offboarding, and reporting.
  • Track results: Measure program success with data (conversion rates, satisfaction, engagement) and make improvements.
  • Highlight impact: Share intern stories and program outcomes internally and externally to strengthen Groq’s early talent brand.
Ideal candidates have/are:
  • Experience running programs, recruiting, or community initiatives (no strict years requirement).
  • Comfortable working with engineers and technical teams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Creative approach to sourcing — you know how to find talent in new places and how to connect with them.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with AI/ML talent pipelines or technical recruiting.
  • Experience building or scaling early talent or internship programs.
  • Background in employer branding, social media, or event-based recruiting.
  • Hands-on experience engaging with communities (hackathons, online forums, fellowships).
Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $92,000 to $135,000 determined by your location, skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks. This range is specific to roles in the United States, compensation for candidates outside the USA will be dependent on the local market.
