Commercial Sales Representative
Mission:
As a Commercial Sales Representative at Groq, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities. You will work closely with prospective customers to understand their needs, articulate the value of Groq’s AI solutions, and build long-lasting partnerships. This role is pivotal in expanding Groq’s market presence and contributing to the democratization of AI.

Responsibilities & Opportunities in this Role:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and engage with potential customers through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, and industry events.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from discovery and qualification to negotiation and closing.
  • Consultative Selling: Collaborate with technical teams to understand customer pain points and present tailored solutions using Groq’s LPU™ Inference Engine.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and technical decision-makers.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer information in the CRM system.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategy and messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to align go-to-market efforts and ensure seamless handoffs.

Ideal Candidates Have/Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the technology or AI industry.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in high-growth environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipelines and generate reports.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to balance customer needs and company goals.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $94,435 to $154,600, determined by your location, skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks. This range is specific to roles in the United States, compensation for candidates outside the USA will be dependent on the local market.
Location: For these roles, we are looking for talent based in our near San Francisco Bay Area.
