Mission:
The Supply Chain Risk Management Manager will safeguard the global supply chain by proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Risk Management Manager is a pivotal role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks across the supply chain. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity and resilience. The manager will lead efforts in identifying potential risks, creating contingency plans, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Quality Engineering:
- Lead SQE activities across design, production, procurement, and regulatory domains to root‑cause issues, devise corrective actions, and set supplier performance metrics that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Utilize expertise in ISO 9001/AS9100, Six Sigma, and data‑driven analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with suppliers to implement corrective actions and monitor performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks such as supplier insolvency, natural disasters, and geopolitical issues.
- Develop and execute mitigation strategies, including supplier diversification and contingency planning.
Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and monitor supplier risk profiles, collaborating with procurement to identify and onboard alternative suppliers.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement KPIs to track supply chain performance and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with procurement, logistics, and sales to align risk management efforts and ensure supply chain continuity.
- Business Continuity Planning:
- Develop plans to ensure operational continuity during disruptions, maintaining service levels and cost efficiency.
- Industry and Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements, updating strategies as needed.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and develop the risk management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Disruption Management:
- Respond to supply chain disruptions with effective solutions, minimizing operational impact.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in supply‑chain operations with at least 5 years in risk‑management or supplier‑risk roles.
- Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise‑wide risk frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000, NIST).
- Advanced knowledge of global supply‑chain dynamics, logistics, procurement, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ITAR, EAR, REACH).
- Master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) are highly preferred.
- Willing to travel within Asia and North America
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is desirable, not a requirement.
- Based in Singapore - remote ok.
Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, salary range is determined by your location, skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks. Compensation for candidates outside the USA will be dependent on the local market.
