Mission:
As a Security Technical Program Management Intern, you will partner with both the GRC and Security Engineering teams to drive visibility, alignment, and execution across Groq’s global security initiatives.
This role focuses on metrics, documentation, and coordination — helping Security and GRC teams stay on track, on time, and on message. You’ll use tools like Jira, Notion, Paramify, Wiz, and Grafana to track progress, document results, and visualize impact.
You’ll learn how world-class security programs are built — and help accelerate them.
Responsibilities & Opportunities in this Role
- Support both the GRC and Security leadership team in managing and tracking cross-functional security projects and initiatives.
- Build and maintain dashboards and metrics in Grafana and other platforms to visualize progress on vulnerability management, audit readiness, and compliance initiatives.
- Partner with GRC to maintain documentation and evidence repositories in Notion and Paramify, ensuring they remain accurate and audit-ready.
- Coordinate sprint and project updates across teams in Jira, ensuring tasks are properly scoped, prioritized, and delivered.
- Work with the Security Engineering team to analyze data from Wiz (vulnerability and asset insights) and integrate findings into risk and compliance reports.
- Support project retrospectives, lessons-learned sessions, and contribute to playbook and SOP development.
- Drive operational efficiency by identifying workflow gaps and helping automate reporting and documentation processes.
- Track, document, and communicate key program metrics and updates for leadership visibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Ideal Candidates Have / Are
- Interest in cybersecurity, technical program management, or cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Jira and documentation platforms like Notion.
- Exposure to or curiosity about Paramify, Wiz, and Grafana — or similar platforms for compliance, vulnerability management, and metrics visualization.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; comfortable managing detailed documentation and data dashboards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to distill complex technical updates into clear, concise summaries.
- Process-oriented and proactive, with attention to detail and an ability to juggle multiple workstreams.
- Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn how security and compliance intersect in a global technology organization.
- Pursuing a degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
What You’ll Learn
- How Groq’s security, compliance, and engineering programs integrate across global operations.
- How to manage and visualize security metrics using Grafana, Wiz, and other enterprise tools.
- How to design and manage TPM workflows in Jira and documentation in Notion.
- How to help large teams stay aligned through data-driven project tracking and communication.
- How to translate technical milestones into executive-level program reporting.
