Mission:
As a Sourcing and Supply Chain Intern at Groq, you will support the end-to-end supply chain — from supplier sourcing and procurement to logistics and risk analysis. You’ll collaborate across operations, engineering, and finance to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials while helping to identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative attitude. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys multitasking, and is eager to tackle challenges head-on. You should be proactive, adaptable, and excited to work across various projects. If you’re passionate about learning, problem-solving, and contributing to a high-impact team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
  • Support supplier sourcing, qualification, and onboarding, ensuring alignment with Groq’s quality and sustainability standards.
  • Assist in purchase order creation, tracking, and reconciliation within ERP systems.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, including lead time adherence, quality issues, and delivery accuracy.
  • Conduct supply chain risk assessments, identifying single-source dependencies, geopolitical risks, and capacity constraints.
  • Help develop risk mitigation strategies, such as dual sourcing, safety stock planning, and supplier diversification.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to track shipments, resolve delays, and maintain continuity in the flow of materials.
  • Analyze inventory data, demand forecasts, and procurement trends to optimize inventory levels.
  • Support cost-reduction and supplier relationship management initiatives.
    • Participate in cross-functional reviews to enhance supply chain visibility and operational resilience.
    • Be part of the team that identifies and suggests ways to improve current supply chain processes, making them faster, smarter, and more efficient.
Ideal candidates have/are:
  • Currently studying Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Ability to work with data and support team analysis with an eye for detail.
  • Careful and accurate in handling tasks such as data entry and order tracking.
  • Enthusiastic to pick up new skills, with an interest in sourcing, supply chain, and operations.
  • Eager to collaborate with others and learn from experienced colleagues.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting tasks and priorities.
  • Able to communicate clearly with the team and external partners, both written and verbally.
  • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
