Who we are
Hallow is on a mission to help people pray. We’re the No. 1 prayer app in the world, with more than 1 billion prayers prayed across 150+ countries. We're building a product that is authentically Christian and Catholic, while at the same time a resource for anyone looking to grow deeper in a relationship with God. We believe that people are hungry for peace, and that there is no surer way to find it than by learning to sit in silence with Christ: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).
Our goal is to build something truly great. Something that combines the beauty of the Church's spirituality with world-class product and content execution. And we need a world-class team to make it happen.
We launched the app in December 2018 and have been blown away with the incredible growth & traction. Hallow has been downloaded more than 30 million times with over 250,000 5-star reviews. We're blessed to be backed by some of the best mission-driven investors in the world and are excited to build out the team to help a lot more folks grow closer to God.
We are a startup. We move quickly. We are small but we take big swings. Each person is responsible for making an impact. It is hard—but deeply meaningful—work. We'd be honored & humbled if you'd consider joining us.
TL;DR: You'll be the primary relationship builder and point of contact for Hallow’s diocesan partners. You will build relationships with Hallow’s key points of contact at our diocesan partners. You will implement, activate, and sustain partnerships, helping dioceses build communities of daily prayer across their parishes, while driving renewals and expansion.
What You'll Do
- Diocesan relationship building: Cultivate relationships with bishops, archbishops, and key points of contact, translating those partnerships into coordinated prayer initiatives that drive adoption at both the diocesan and parish level.
- Execute on every element of diocesan partnership: You will run in-person events, to coordinate the Bishop’s Prayer challenges, ensure parish deliverables, and provide data to measure the success of the partnership.
- Manage stakeholder relationships: Design and implement business processes to support the diocesan program initiative, for example, managing CRM workflows to ensure that users are moving along the experience appropriately and drafting marketing materials for the team that are used in the program
- Prayer activation: Design and lead diocesan-wide prayer initiatives, equipping bishops and parish leaders to build a culture of prayer across both dioceses and local parish communities.
- Sales support & partnership close: Collaborate with the sales team to accelerate diocesan prospects, assisting new partners in visualizing the development of a diocese-wide prayer culture through a strategic alliance with Hallow.
- Post-sale execution: Lead all diocesan initiatives post-sale, coordinating cross-functional teams, launching bishop-led challenges and giving campaigns, and managing in-person diocesan events to ensure successful rollout and engagement.
What You'll Love
- Mission: This work is incredibly humbling. Everyday we hear amazing stories and we get the pleasure of working on something that's impacting lives. One of our favorite user quotes: "I hate quoting an old, overused cliche, but I've been very lost. And I think for the first time in a while I may be found."
- Ownership: When a company is this small, every employee is a core team member with an outsized impact. You'll be the face of Hallow as you own the relationship with our diocesan partners.
- Growth: From day 1, you’ll be a part of the startup journey. We’ll need your help to build a world-class experience for our diocesan partners across US, Canada, and eventually across the globe.
- Flexibility: HQ is in Chicago and we would love to have as many team members there as possible, but you will be responsible for building relationships across the country so we are flexible on location within the United States.
- Comp: We pay competitive market rates in terms of equity, cash, & benefits.
What We're Looking For
- Passion: First and foremost, we're looking for someone excited and passionate about our mission. It makes it a lot more fun to actually care about what you're working on!
- Ministry Experience: Hands-on experience working within a diocese or Catholic organization is strongly preferred as we're looking for someone who understands the rhythms of Catholic ministry from the inside. The ideal candidate brings excellent written and verbal communication skills and can inspire and engage audiences of all sizes. The confidence to lead meaningful theological conversations in group settings is essential.
- Relationship Management: Strong aptitude in managing CRM workflows and contacts and/or the ability to pick up new tools quickly and stay organized will help you steward relationships that fuel our mission. A background in relationship-building or sales is a welcome plus. The ability to connect with others in additional languages is a plus.
- Grit & Detail-Oriented: This is a brand-new program at a fast-growing startup, so we're looking for comfort working in ambiguity. Attention to detail and having a process-oriented approach to solving problems is critical, as is the ability to learn quickly and think on your feet.
Compensation:
$85,000 to $100,000 USD per year (base salary)
$95,000 to $120,000 USD per year (on-target earnings)
The above ranges reflect estimated annual cash compensation. The first range represents base salary only. The second range reflects on-target earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus target variable compensation such as commission or a renewal bonus. Actual earnings may vary depending on performance against specific goals and role expectations.
Each full-time employee in the U.S. also receives equity compensation, alongside a top-tier benefits package (e.g., unlimited PTO, insurance, remote-flexible work, fully paid parental leave, 401(k) match, and stipends for spiritual development, health & wellness, home-office, and learning). All full-time employees are also eligible to be considered for a discretionary bonus at the end of each fiscal year. These ranges are initial estimates and may vary depending on market, location, and may be adjusted based on the candidate’s experience and role alignment.
We're a small team and we care deeply about each new hire, so sometimes it can take us a while to get through the hiring process for these roles. Apologies in advance for any delays. We'll do our best to keep you updated throughout the process, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through everything.
We are honored that you'd consider joining the team and look forward to connecting with you.
Best,
Alex at Hallow
