About This Role:
- Prepare, post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded, ensuring proper documentation and filing
- Process accounts payable invoices by applying rigorous adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and proactively resolve any accounting discrepancies
- Oversee the accurate and timely recording of transactions on the credit card platform, ensuring all charges and credits are consistently tracked and discrepancies addressed.
- Review and authorize employee reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and financial controls.
- Oversee the inventory accounting process, ensuring accurate tracking and valuation of company assets
- Collaborate with the controller and accounting managers to support a seamless and efficient month-end close process
- Carry out ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed, providing critical data to support company decision-making
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting. CPA candidate a plus
- 3+ years financial accounting experience
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and computer skills
- Experience with our software stack preferred (Excel, NetSuite, Slack, Gmail, Expensify, Divvy)
- Experience with hardware components

Loft Orbital builds “shareable” satellites, providing a fast & simple path to orbit for organizations that require access to space. Powered by our hardware & software products, we operate satellites, fly customer payloads onboard, and handle entire missions from end to end - significantly reducing the lead-time and risk of a traditional space mission.
Our standard interface enables us to fly multiple customer payloads on the same satellite, with capabilities such as earth imagery, weather & climate /science data collection, IoT connectivity, in-orbit demonstrations, and national security missions.
