About This Role:
- Serve as the liaison with the inventory team, including: Interfacing daily to monitor buying and receiving activities, understanding the broader implications of purchases on US GAAP, ensuring seamless integration of operations transactions into the GL
- Maintain the ASC 842 lease accounting workbook and post entries into NetSuite
- Manage the equity GL reporting, including posting ASC 718 entries and preparing the statement of stockholders' equity for the audit report
- Oversee the accounting for the debt process, maintain the debt workbook, track loans, and prepare debt rollforward tables for the audit report
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely filing of all tax returns and compliance with tax regulations is also a key responsibility
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting
Must Haves:
- 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Accounting for inventory or manufacturing experience
- Expert on ASC 842 and equity accounting
- Familiarity with debt accounting processes and preparing debt rollforward tables
- Skilled in utilizing ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Nice to Haves:
- You have an active CPA license
- You have advanced proficiency with NetSuite

Loft Orbital builds “shareable” satellites, providing a fast & simple path to orbit for organizations that require access to space. Powered by our hardware & software products, we operate satellites, fly customer payloads onboard, and handle entire missions from end to end - significantly reducing the lead-time and risk of a traditional space mission.
Our standard interface enables us to fly multiple customer payloads on the same satellite, with capabilities such as earth imagery, weather & climate /science data collection, IoT connectivity, in-orbit demonstrations, and national security missions.
