Loft Orbital builds a space infrastructure providing a fast & simple path to orbit. Using different flight proven buses, we design, integrate and operate spacecrafts, to fly physical or virtual customers payloads. We handle entire missions from end to end, significantly reducing the lead-time and risk of a traditional space mission.
As a Senior End-to-End Validation Engineer at Loft, you will work be in charge of setting up a full validation strategy and process for the new missions, including features but also performance aspects for optical, RF and multi-sensor fusion.
This role is critical in ensuring the successful integration, verification, and validation of complex systems that will operate in some of the most challenging environments and leveraging cutting-edge technologies developed at Loft Orbital.

About This Role:
- Work with Programs Lead Systems Engineers to derive the end-to-end verification and validation needs for each mission/program
- Develop and execute end-to-end validation strategies for spacecraft systems, subsystems, and mission-critical components.
- Ensure that all Hardware, Software means (benches, simulators, …) and procedures are developed to support the validation.
- Define test plans, procedures, and success criteria to verify system performance against mission requirements.
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and operations teams to align validation activities with project milestones.
- Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and contractors to ensure compliance with testing standards and specifications.
- Analyze test data to validate system performance and identify potential areas for improvement for both on ground and in-orbit systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during the integration phase, proposing solutions to maintain project timelines.
Must Haves:
- You have 10 or more years demonstrated experience as a space systems engineer, or equivalent experience satellite or ground subsystems (flight dynamics, earth observation, simulation, ADCS, …)
- You have strong communication and organizational skills
- You challenge norms in aerospace engineering and testing activities and or experienced in fast-paced development environment
- You handle pressure positively and are always ready to put hands-on
Nice to Haves:
- Proficient with STK
- Knowledge of satellite simulators, flatsats/benches, ground-to-space interface
- Knowledge of Python
- International experience
