PseudolithIC, Inc is a rapidly-growing semiconductor start-up company based in Santa Barbara, CA pioneering heterogeneous integration with the vision of Connecting the World through Innovative Semiconductors. The position would develop packaging and characterization of radio-frequency and millimeter-wave semiconductor integrated circuits. We are looking for a team member comfortable in a start-up environment and evolving roles in product definition and testing of a unique integrated circuit solution.

Description

The RF Engineer will contribute to product development leveraging PseudolithIC's proprietary heterogeneous integration platform. Working with RFIC designers, the RF Engineer will transition RFIC solutions into packaged die and work collaboratively within the Design Team to model packaging, transitions, and verification approaches that reduce product cost. Successful candidates will thrive in a hands-on, independent role.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of radio-frequency and millimeter-wave theories and concepts related to S-parameters, de-embedding, matching, and microwave components
  • Knowledge of design and modeling of front-end module packaging accounting for parasitics and transitions, etc.
  • Knowledge of noise, linearity, mismatch, stability, and analog impairments characterization
  • Experience with Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR for co-design of chip and package
  • Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation, e.g. Momentum, Clarity, or HFSS
  • Exposure to packages technologies and vendors
  • Experience in RF/mm-wave measurements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively with other members of the product development team
  • BS with 5+ years experience, MS + 2 years, or PhD in electrical engineering or related field

Compensation

Target base salary for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 per year + meaningful equity + bonus + benefits + 401k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, experience, and location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
