Here at Shippo, we are the shipping layer of the internet and we consider ourselves to be one of the core building blocks of e-commerce.
Our mission is to make merchants successful through world class shipping. With our products and solutions, we level the playing field by providing our customers with best-in-class solutions that otherwise wouldn’t be available to them. Through Shippo e-commerce businesses, marketplaces, platforms and a variety of logistics infrastructure providers are able to connect to shipping carriers around the world from one API and dashboard. We provide our customers with the most competitive shipping rates, print labels, automated international documents, shipment tracking, facilitate the returns process and more.
How we’ll deliver success:
Shippo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead one of our web application teams focused on the Order Fulfillment experience, including our pick & pack workflows.
In this role, you will own the customer-facing workflows that warehouse and back-office teams use every day to pick, pack, and ship orders—turning “order placed” into “order out the door” as quickly and accurately as possible.
You’ll define and execute a product strategy that improves fulfillment speed and accuracy, reduces operational complexity, and drives measurable impact for merchants of all sizes. You’ll work cross-functionally to identify the most important fulfillment problems to solve, leveraging a deep understanding of user behavior, operational workflows, data insights, and market trends to prioritize and deliver features that unlock growth and efficiency.
This role requires a balance of strategic vision, data-driven decision making, and strong execution. You’ll champion customer empathy (especially for warehouse operators and operations leaders), collaborate across teams, and ensure our fulfillment and QuickPack experiences evolve to meet the needs of merchants as they scale.
What Success Looks Like:
You deeply understand merchant and warehouse pain points around picking, packing, and preparing shipments — and translate those insights into impactful product solutions.
You use data and experimentation to drive strategy, prioritization, and product decisions for fulfillment flows (e.g., time-to-ship, mis-ship rate, packing errors, operator efficiency).
-You make smart trade-offs, balancing operator experience, merchant business goals, and technical constraints.
-You align stakeholders across product, engineering, design, partnerships, CX, and leadership around a clear fulfillment product roadmap.
-You deliver improvements that directly enhance fulfillment efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue impact for Shippo and our merchants.

Shipping & Handling Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Shippo’s Order Fulfillment experience within the web application, from order readiness through label creation and handoff to carriers.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for pick & pack workflows, informed by user research, data insights, and competitive analysis (e.g., batch picking, pack station flows, verification steps, exception handling).
  • Define and monitor key success metrics for fulfillment, ensuring outcomes are measurable and tied to merchant value (such as time-to-fulfill, error rates, on-time dispatch, and operator productivity).
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality, intuitive workflows that are performant and scalable for merchants ranging from small shops to high-volume shippers.
  • Conduct ongoing discovery with merchants, warehouse operators, and internal teams to understand how Shippo is used in real fulfillment environments, where friction exists, and which opportunities create the most impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners — including carrier partnerships, customer success, sales, and marketing — to ensure product decisions reflect customer needs, operational realities, and business objectives.
  • Champion a data-informed culture by leveraging experimentation, A/B testing, and analytics to guide decision-making and validate new fulfillment capabilities.
  • Ensure fulfillment experiences are tightly integrated with the rest of Shippo’s platform (orders, labels, carriers, and tracking) to provide a cohesive end-to-end experience.
