How we will deliver success together:
We are looking for a Senior Carrier Partnerships Manager to play a key role in scaling and optimizing Shippo’s global carrier network.
This is a senior individual contributor role that sits between execution-focused carrier management and partnership leadership. You will own strategic carrier relationships, lead complex cross-functional initiatives, and help shape how Shippo partners with Parcel Carriers as we grow.
You will serve as Shippo’s primary lead for a portfolio of strategic carriers, identifying growth opportunities, surfacing operational gaps, and driving alignment across teams. Acting as the “quarterback,” you will bring together the right stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Support, and Commercial teams to scale initiatives and resolve complex issues.
You’ll operate with meaningful autonomy, influence cross-functional outcomes, and serve as a key driver of execution and alignment across Shippo.
Shipping & handling responsibilities
Carrier Relationship Ownership & Growth
- Own and deepen relationships with key domestic and/or international carrier partners, ensuring strong performance and long-term alignment.
- Lead carrier engagement beyond day-to-day operations, including strategic planning, roadmap discussions, and escalation management.
- Represent Shippo as a senior partner in high-stakes conversations with external executives.
Strategic Execution & Program Leadership
- Drive complex carrier initiatives such as new service launches, contract expansions, compliance improvements, or performance turnarounds.
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and develop structured joint plans with top carrier partners.
- Identify opportunities to evolve carrier partnerships from transactional relationships into strategic collaborations.
Cross-Functional Influence
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales to resolve systemic issues and improve merchant experience.
- Translate carrier capabilities and constraints into internal priorities and actionable execution plans.
- Influence cross-functional decision-making and maintain clear upward visibility to ensure alignment.
Operational Excellence & Scaling
- Develop scalable processes, documentation, and tooling to improve carrier management workflows.
- Monitor carrier KPIs, surface trends, and proactively drive measurable improvements in service quality.
- Mentor and support more junior carrier managers, helping raise the bar across the team.
Your shipping requirements
- 6+ years of experience in carrier partnerships, strategic account management, or partner operations (logistics, ecommerce, or SaaS preferred).
- Proven success owning complex external partnerships and delivering business impact through influence and execution.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating multi-party decision processes.
- Ability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from idea through implementation.
- Comfortable engaging in technical discussions related to APIs, integrations, and platform performance.
- Strong analytical and operational rigor — able to define KPIs, diagnose root causes, and drive improvement.

- Experience working directly with parcel carriers, 3PLs, or postal/logistics networks.

Compensation
Our Compensation Shippolicy:
We believe compensation is a custom experience and are commited to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min is $110k to a max $149k annual salary (we tend to anchor our offers at the mid point $129k). Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippos “package” section.

Our people, much like the packages we help ship, are all over the world. This means, through our remote-first program, “Shippos Everywhere”, our roles can be based anywhere in the US with the exception of Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico and West Virginia and many roles can be based internationally.
