About Shippo
At Shippo, our vision is bold and clear: we are the shipping layer of the internet. Our mission is to make every merchant successful through excellent shipping, delivering world-class logistics technology and infrastructure. We’re building the backbone of global e-commerce — connecting merchants to carriers worldwide through a single API and intuitive dashboard.
As a remote-first and globally distributed team, we believe flexibility fuels trust, autonomy, and performance. Our diverse perspectives — across continents, cultures, and time zones — drive our innovation and enable us to build solutions used by businesses everywhere. We invest in modern, scalable technology so our teams can build, ship, and iterate with confidence.
Your impact starts here: every person at Shippo plays a direct role in shaping the infrastructure that powers global commerce and makes shipping simpler for businesses around the world.
How we will deliver success together:
At Shippo, data isn't just a byproduct; it is our product. As we scale our operations for growth, we're building a Hub & Spoke Analytics model that embeds dedicated analytical thought partners within our business units while maintaining centralized alignment on tooling, metrics, and governance. This structure enables fast, domain-specific insights on top of a unified data foundation; delivering speed at the edge and consistency at the core.
As a member of our Data Platform team, the Analytics Engineer will be embedded within one of Shippo's critical business units (App, API, or Carrier Operations) serving as a strategic analytical thought partner. You'll own the full data lifecycle: from defining metrics and building data models to creating self-service tools and influencing business decisions. You won't just build dashboards; you will architect the data foundations that power our products and services that enable our internal teams and external customers. You'll work autonomously on high-impact projects while collaborating closely with leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business strategy, ensuring our data capabilities accelerate Shippo's mission to be the shipping layer of the internet.
