Top Hat is searching for a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team! Reporting to the Director of Revenue Strategy & Analysis, this person will play a critical role in optimizing Top Hat’s business outcomes by supporting good decision-making and control.

As a key member of our finance team, you will:

• Partner with departmental leaders to support financial and operational planning, business case analysis, and cross-functional investment alignment.

• Assist in developing the annual budget, mid-year reforecast, rolling monthly forecast, and other planning projects.

• Support key financial forecasting models, including billings, revenue, cost of sales, and sales variable compensation.

• Lead the monthly variance analysis task across all OPEX departments: Sales & Marketing, R&D and G&A functions. Conduct variance analysis on actual results vs. plan.

• Contribute to bookings planning, including pipeline and rep efficiency analysis, territory determination, and quota setting.

• Maintain key financial and operational business metrics.

• Prepare financial presentations and reports for senior management and the executive team, highlighting key findings.

About you:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field. Accounting or finance designation is nice to have!

• 1 year of experience in financial analysis or a similar role

• Advanced MS Excel or G Sheets skills (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts) and MS PowerPoint

• Ability to work with and distill large amounts of data into meaningful information with minimal management supervision

• Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing ambiguous environment - every day could bring something new and give you the opportunity to gain great experience

• Proficiency in financial modelling, ability to build and maintain financial models

• Ability to work collaboratively with a ‘can-do’ attitude

• Structured thinker and problem solver

• Proven experience providing insight and analysis to stakeholders

• Track record of successfully meeting deadlines and proactively managing expectations
