UserGems helps companies generate more revenue by identifying buyers who will most likely buy from them. Leveraging artificial intelligence, UserGems combines relationship data with trigger events to surface the most relevant buyers for each customer.

We’re growing 3X year-over-year and last raised a $20M Series A from investors including Craft Ventures, Uncork Capital, Battery Ventures, and Tiger Global.

UserGems is seeking our first Implementation Specialist in an external facing post-sale engineering role. You will partner closely with our CS team and customers to design and optimize successful implementations of UserGems as well as field any future technical issues or questions. Most customers integrate with UserGems via a Salesforce managed package and occasionally custom Salesforce Flows.

As an internal voice of the prospect and customer, you will have a strong influence on our product roadmap and trajectory at an especially exciting time. This role is the first position within what will become a services team and has potential future career paths as an individual contributor or manager.

This unique role provides great networking and exposure to top-tier SaaS operations leaders via our prospects, customers, investors, and team and includes mentorship opportunities to build your personal brand via thought leadership in the RevOps space.

As an Implementation Specialist, you will:
  • Join post-sale virtual meetings as a technical expert to brainstorm and design, implement, and troubleshoot UserGems integrations via either Salesforce or Workato
  • Provide onboarding training and tactical support for our go-to-market team both on our product and internal processes
  • Identify new ways to optimize our prospect, customer, and employee experience based on your own observations, data discovery, and user research
  • Collaborate with the UserGems product team to resolve prospect and customer issues, collate and prioritize feedback, and assist with our roadmap and product design, especially as it relates to Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Openly challenge the way that we do things and create change within the organization; make recommendations to marketing, sales, CS, and product leadership on our business processes and prioritization
  • Occasionally join pre-sales virtual meetings as a technical expert to demonstrate our products, design solutions specific to our prospects’ tech stacks, and answer technical questions

How you’ll ramp:

…within your first week…

  • Get set up with your preferred hardware and in key systems
  • Get in-depth training on our products, value propositions, personas, and competitive landscape
  • You’ll join members of our team on prospect and customer calls to observe
  • You’ll have 1:1 intro meetings with members of the go-to-market team

…day 30…

  • You’ll learn about and give feedback on our existing pre and post-sale workflows
  • You’ll continue to shadow and observe pre and post-sale calls to get a detailed understanding of the UserGems sales and implementation process
  • You’ll join and participate in internal operations meetings and projects
  • You’ll start following a handful of customer implementations from end-to-end
  • You’ll have 1:1 intro meetings with the remaining go-to-market team members

…day 60…

  • You’ll learn about systems that we integrate with, including LeanData, Outreach, Salesloft, Workato, and HubSpot
  • You’ll learn about and improve our own internal implementation of UserGems
  • You’ll start providing support and training for go-to-market team members
  • You’ll have mock pre and post-sale technical calls to improve and iterate on your technical demo pitch and implementation guidance

…day 90…

  • You’ll be a UserGems expert with a deep understanding of our products and how they integrate with other systems
  • You’ll start leading post-sale customer implementation calls
  • You’ll be an integral part of our go-to-market team
What you’ve accomplished so far:
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience at a startup or Salesforce consulting firm
  • Salesforce Admin experience is required; some architect or developer experience, as well as certifications, are a plus. You should be comfortable building Flows, working with integrations, and working on lead management and routing projects
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, naturally curious, and a thoughtful communicator
  • You have a track record of advancement and taking on increased responsibility
  • You have some customer service, sales, or training experience

Systems our customers use to operationalize UserGems (experience is a plus):
  • Salesforce & HubSpot CRM
  • LeanData & RingLead routing
