We are hiring a Content Policy Analyst on our Content Policy team, responsible for understanding, researching, developing, and writing policy relating to content on for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Previous policy writing experience is required.

What you’ll do:
Research, define, and write policy relating to varied categories of social media content
Teach and refine labeling framework and associated guidelines
Coach colleagues across internal teams on policy understanding and enforcement
Assist market facing teams with targeted model support, specialized analyses and synthesized findings
Maintain an efficient and accurate level of production under all workloads
Make judgment calls on nuanced content to provide cognitive and (where applicable) cultural understanding
Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and policy leadership to provide valuable insights on content trends, model deficiencies, and suggest improvements
Be willing to work with sensitive content including but not limited to varying religious and political views, violence, and adult content
What we’re looking for:
Experience writing or enforcing policy is required
Experience and proficiency in Google Workspace applications, Sheets and Docs
Experience reviewing social media content, including TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram is a plus
SQL familiarity is a plus
Familiarity using social media platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Snap is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Keen attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks with high quality and consistency
Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adept at rapid learning, and skilled in effectively prioritizing tasks
Capable in both collaborative teamwork and independent work
Preference for a candidate that is located in the greater Los Angeles area

Compensation (for US based employees):
The anticipated salary for this position is between $65,000 - $80,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If your compensation expectations fall outside of this range, it may still be worth having a conversation.
