Overview:
We are seeking a team of laser/photonics professionals to build and operate a suite of optical and laser- based systems for Inertia’s fusion energy program. Working in a newly constructed set of labs, we are building a wide range of test facilities and state-of-the-art capabilities. Come join the team that is creating a new era of clean energy!
Primary Responsibilities:
Assemble, build and test precision mechanical, electrical, optical and laser systems
Work with the physics, controls and engineering team to deliver high performance integrated capabilities – for example to characterize and optimize laser system performance
Support the design and operation of optical metrology test beds
Ensure all work is undertaken safely and efficiently
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
Associate Degree in lasers, optics, photonics, or similar subject
Experience in precision laboratory environments
Preferred:
Experience working with high energy and high power laser systems.
Experience with precision alignment, characterization and use of laser diagnostics
