About the Job:

The LaunchDarkly Professional Services team is looking for an Experimentation Solutions Architect to join our team. This person is a passionate, deeply skilled experimentation expert and leader capable of mentoring others. We are looking for applicants who have designed and led impactful experimentation initiatives either in a consulting role with external clients, or internally as an employee at a large organization, and are excited to be hands-on in this capacity.

In this role, you will join a team of SMEs who co-create innovative software release solutions using emerging technologies, modern software design methods, and the LaunchDarkly platform. You’ll be a catalyst for building communities and centers of excellence with our customers and partners, focused on modern release technology and practices.

You will be responsible for collaborating with customers and partners to accelerate their experimentation capabilities by teaching them new ways of working together to deliver business value. As you do so, you will create lasting enthusiasm for building great software products while building upon the principles and technologies of LaunchDarkly.

As the Experimentation Solutions Architect, you will be an SME in experimentation technologies and practices, and have three major global responsibilities:

a) understand, communicate, and extend LaunchDarkly’s vision and brand of experimentation excellence to sales and delivery teams, clients, and partners to help identify, pursue, win, and deliver strategic experimentation programs, and

b) provide technology and practice delivery, and oversight to customers, partners, and teammates in the delivery of transformation engagements.

c) activate partners globally to enable their ownership of experimentation programs built on the foundation of LaunchDarkly technology.

This is a remote-based position with travel and the applicant can be located anywhere in the U.S. within close proximity to an airport. Successful applicants must reside in a state where LaunchDarkly is registered to do business.

Responsibilities:

• Design a sustainable, revenue-generating experimentation services model (offerings, go-to-market plans and activation models, etc.) in collaboration with key internal partners (revenue, ops, sales, etc)

• Work with Sales partners to create a pipeline, sales process, and enablement materials for new Services prospects

• Build out a team of skilled experts (in-house, external contractors, and co-delivery partners) to scale delivery of advisory & implementation deliverables

• Develop a program that fosters experimentation-first thinking in LaunchDarkly customers

• Craft technical delivery engagements to lead our customers on the journey of meaningful changes that help them achieve their business goals

• Lead the hands-on design and implementation of experimentation programs using modern practices and open source emerging technologies

• Lead delivery of large, impactful experimentation engagements comprising multiple value streams and customer stakeholders from the C-suite to software and platform engineers

• Strong understanding of web development concepts (front-end vs. backend, purpose of different environments, HTML vs. CSS vs. JavaScript, etc.)

• Ability to define meaningful success metrics across multiple technology domains

• Comfortable working with highly distributed team

• Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills

• Ability to self-study and quickly learn and put into practice new technologies, techniques, and methodologies

• Passion for releasing great software

Pay:

Target pay range for a Level ____ in San Francisco/Bay Area: $____ - $_____* revenue only: *On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission*
